Get to know us

We’re not wellness influencers. We’re a group of suburban parents who found refuge in traditional wood-fired sauna. It’s a way to slow down with our kids, stay connected to friends, and survive Minnesota’s long winters together.

We started Hamel Nordic Sauna simply to bring that experience to our own community. What surprised us was how quickly people wanted to bring it to their communities too—renting our saunas for birthday parties, Vikings games, girls’ nights, family gatherings, and neighborhood hangouts.

We don’t care if you’re the first one in the cold plunge or if the winter air is enough for you. Call it “sah-na” or “sow-na,” we won’t judge. Whether you have a sauna delivered to your home or join us for a social pop-up, we hope you can experience the deep relaxation and connecting power of this ancient Nordic tradition.

Our larger sauna with changeroom

The one that started it all. Our original sauna features seating for 8-10 adults, moveable benches, and a separate changing area with a bench and storage.
